What is Supported Housing?

Supported, or Sheltered housing is a group of flats or bungalows designed to assist older or disabled people to lead independent lives. They provide certain facilities that ordinary housing does not include. Most schemes have a communal lounge, kitchen, laundry and guest room. Some schemes have lifts to first floors.
