Decent Homes

We want all our properties to reach the government's Decent Homes Standard. A home is decent when it is comfortable, warm and has modern facilities.

At Spire Homes we have undertaken a programme of new kitchens and bathrooms, heating, windows and doors, since transfer from East Northamptionshire Council in 2001. We are confident that we will meet the decent homes standard by the government’s deadline of 2010.  In order to achieve this we will be carrying out the following works over the next 12 months to 18 months:

• Improvement of our non traditional (or PRC) homes. 
• Replacement roofing, external repairs and new heating installations to properties which fail to meet the required standard.

Residents who are included within the programmes detailed above will be contacted individually to arrange access into your home to carry out the work.
