Code of practice for Supported Housing
Spire Homes are delighted that their services
for Supported Housing in East Northamptonshire and Rutland have
achieved the Code of Practice.
The Code of Practice is only awarded to
housing associations which offer really high quality service to
supported tenants. It is a real feather in Spire’s cap and also
important in showing outside organisations and both current and
possible tenants that they offer an excellent service. It is the
only standard specifically designed to raise and monitor standards
of services delivered to older people.

Carol Underwood, Head of Supported Housing,
said “This achievement could not have been reached
without the dedication of all the staff on the teams and the input
from our tenants. This is well deserved through all the hard work
spent to gain this accreditation”
Christine Walker, Director for the Centre for Housing and Support
“Gaining accreditation to the CHS Code of Practice involves a
thorough process of assessment of policies, procedures and working
practices, including interviews with staff and tenants. In
achieving accreditation Spire Homes has demonstrated its commitment
to responsible service management, service user involvement,
continuous improvement and good practice. It is evidence that
their Sheltered Housing Service provides professional, consistent
and high quality services.”
