Community Grants Fund

Spire Homes is committed to the well being of our residents.  One of the ways we support residents and communities is through the Community Grants Scheme, which is open to all Spire Homes residents and members of their households and to groups that directly benefit Spire homes tenants.

Grant applications can be made by individuals or groups for:

A personal grant to help an individual person/people within one family unit OR a project that will help a larger group of people.

The Community Grants Scheme aims to improve the lives of people living in the communities where we work and funding must benefit Spire Homes’ residents or members of their households.

There are two levels of funding available:

Small Grants up to £500
Large Grants between £501 and £5,000

Applications need to meet one or more of the following priorities to be eligible for funding:

Learning and development to improve employment opportunities
For example, grants may be awarded for training and/or expenses linked to training such as travel or childcare.

Support for individuals or children
For example, grants may be awarded to pay for essential household items, school uniforms or for activities such as sports equipment or music lessons.

Neighbourhood development
Applications can be made by individuals or groups to start new projects or to support existing ones such as a Parent and Toddler Group or a Community Allotment.
